Haidyn's 6 Months

Well, Haidyn actually turned 6 months a couple of weeks ago. She is getting so big! Too big!! But that is okay, cause it is so fun to watch her learn and grow. I just wish she would take her time a little more. Here is how much she has grown:
Birth
Length: 18in  30%
Weight: 5lb 10oz  2%

 Six Months
 Length: 27in  90%
 Weight: 17lb  70%

She eats anything and everything that I let her or didn't realize that she had (like my shopping list). She loves to scream, I don't know why, apparently she just wants to make sure she is heard over Danica. She is scared of both of her grandpas and her grandma Gina, but that goes up and down; and for the most part she isn't liking many people other than Danny, Danica and me to touch her right now. Her favorite toy is her singing octopus. And she has to cuddle with one of her stuffed animals when she goes to sleep, it is normally her elephant. Her best friend is Danica and she sure misses her when she is gone. She thinks she is a big girl and can't figure out why she can't run like rest of the big kids. She is just such a good baby and I love her so much.
I just love this girl's gorgeous eyes and smile! She brightens everyday.

Some of the faces she pulls. It cracks me up!
I love watching how much fun she has no matter what she is doing. I would have to say the swings would have to be one of her favorites.

Oh how much she loves her sister. These two are going to be the best of friends. When Danica is in Delta, they miss each other so much. Danica likes to talk to her on the phone while she is gone, and Haidyn just doesn't know how to occupy herself without Danica to help entertain her. And they both just light up when they are around each other! It is so heart warming to see.
Showing off her chunky behind while she tries to crawl. This little girl's chunk is so cute!! I just love those rolls! But I am sure they won't last too much longer since she is trying really hard to crawl. Yes, she is crawling on her head and feet, but hey, whatever gets ya where you want to go.
It is the easiest thing to get her to smile. I love that all I have to do is smile at her and her whole face lights up with that beautiful smile! No matter what mood I am in, when she smiles I melt.
This face! This face has been such a blessing. She is such a special girl, and has been a shining light through some of the hardest things I have ever had to go through. She has kept me smiling on days I didn't think I could and made me laugh on days I just wanted to cry.

Haidyn, you are so wonderful and I love you!

The Sun will come out tomorrow!

Danica is a very create little girl and to show everybody how create she is she is always singing, making up the song as she goes. Today my favorite was The Sun will come out Tomorrow. It went something like this:

The sun will come out tomorrow,
tomorrow, tomorrow,
I don't know when the sun comes tomorrow.
The sun comes and goes tomorrow.

It continued for a few minutes after that with a lot more tomorrows and turned into the sun never comes. But I could never remember all of it. That is the gist of it though. She also rewrote Book of Mormon Stories, When we're helping, and a few other songs today. I wonder where she learned to do that - Danny! :)

Missing some good friends!

It was a little bit of a sad day as I was realizing that some good friends have moved out of our apartments and out of state. And I am starting to miss them more. It hadn't really sunk in until I was seeing several people looking at their old apartment today. I am really going to miss walking outside and being able to sit and talk with them while our kids play. Living in these apartments we have become really close with most of our neighbors and even though I am happy for all that move onto other things, I still miss seeing them all the time.

Love ya, Nicole, Todd, Andrew and Rory!! We will miss always having you around!

Haidyn's first swing!

Ok, this is Haidyn in the swing at the park for the first time. Looks like she is having a blast right? Ya, I put her in there and she could care less what was going on. She never made a face of delight or displeasure, just slumped down like this the entire time that I was pushing her.

But then...
This is Haidyn with Danica pushing her in the swing! It was so cute!! Haidyn was just cracking up and having a blast! I love to see how much my girls love each other! It makes being a parent that much better, even when I'm not the one to get the big smiles out of them!

Emergency Room

So, I had to make a run to the emergancy room last week. I woke up to Danica crying (nothing new there.) And my chest was killing me. It felt like my ribs were in a vice. I took Ibprofen but it didn't really help. So we called a friend of mine to come sleep at our place with the girls so that Danny could take me in. We didn't think it was anything serious, but it just really hurt. Well, they did a few tests just to be sure and everything is fine. (I had you going didn't I!) They think that I strained the muscles in my ribs and it just really flared up that night. Apparently it is a common thing, but I wouldn't have thought it was a muscle that hurts like that, but it is feeling better!

Catch up!

Ok, so I have a few things I need to catch up on cuz I haven't been posting everything.
To start, Danica passed her hearing test!! She still has some hearing loss, but it is within the normaly hearing range, so we don't have to intervine at this time. The not so good thing that we found out at the drs today is that she also has a scab blocking one of her tubes in her ear. So the dr has me putting a peroxide mix in it daily to hopefully get it out. If not then they might have to go back in that ear to redo it. Danica's asthma has also gotten a bit worse, but it is allergy, cold and flu season so hopefully it gets better again after a while. She has been sick lately, but it normally takes longer for her to get better because of her asthma. But of course nothing slows her down! She is still her loud, bouncy, energizer bunny self. And still loves to play with Haidyn all day! So cute!!
Haidyn, although different, still has her share of things we are still trying to work through. She has been a bit sick lately too on top of teething. She has her two front bottom teeth and we will see what she gets next. But this poor girl has some nasty reflux! Last week I took her into the hospital to have some tests done and the dr that was doing the test said that is was the worst reflux he has seen in a 6 month baby. Some how she still gains weight. She is now 17 1/2 lbs. Anyway, so this week I get to take her to a specialist to try to figure out if there are bigger problems at hand or if there is just no stopping her reflux. In which case we have to find a way to protect her teeth so that all of that spit-up doesn't rot them. Inspite of all of the junk that is going on with her, Haidyn is still the happiest baby I have ever seen. She is just a chunky ball of fun! And she love, love, loves her sister to death!
I love my girls so much, but man alive they sure like to keep me on my toes with all of this medical mess. Hopefully we can start getting everything leveled off with it, instead of something new nearly every week.
Danny on the other hand is in his final few classes before he finishes his bachelors degree!! He has 5 more classes. What a sign of relief!!!
There is nothing realy new for me except the things going on with my family, which is fine since they keep me plenty busy.
Well, there are several other things I need to up date, but most of those have pictures that go with them and I don't have the pictures on our new computer, so I will have to do those another time.
